Degree Requirements

BSN to DNP Requirements:

  • Executive Leadership Concentration: 71 graduate credits
  • Family Nurse Practitioner Concentration: 74 graduate credits

Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Program Requirements:

  • 38 graduate credits

Tuition & Financial Aid

Estimated tuition for the entire Doctor of Nursing Practice program is $60,150. The cost of tuition is calculated based on 74 credit hours needed to complete the degree at $795 per credit and a resource fee of $220 per semester. There may be an additional cost of $50 per class for hybrid classes. This is based on a two-year, full-time degree plan.

How to Apply (BSN to DNP)

Graduates of Palm Beach Atlantic University’s BSN or RN to BSN are eligible for seamless admissions to the University’s MSN/DNP programs.

To apply students must have a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited university with a minimum 3.0 GPA in nursing courses. The GRE is not required, however students with a GPA lower than 3.0 must provide GRE scores in the 50th percentile on both verbal and quantitative sections and a 4.0 on the analytical writing section.

To apply, submit the following:

  • Current Curriculum Vitae
  • Three letters of recommendation, including one from a current supervisor
  • GRE scores if applicable
  • Current and active Florida license or valid RN license from another state and proof of application to Florida Board of Nursing
  • 500 word personal statement supporting future goals, faith, and interest
  • Interview with faculty
  • Students transferring from another university must submit a letter of good standing

How to Apply (Post Master's)

Post Master’s applicants to the DNP program must have a Master’s degree in Nursing from a nationally accredited nursing program with a 3.0 GPA or higher for nursing courses. The GRE is not required, however students with a GPA lower than 3.0 must provide GRE scores in the 50th percentile on both verbal and quantitative sections and a 4.0 on the analytical writing section. RN or ARNP experience is preferred, but not required.
